Finance Administrator - permanent, full-time

We are seeking an experienced Finance Administrator to support the finance team at the College. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated, passionate and future‑focused team, committed to supporting and empowering girls.

The successful candidate will uphold the vision, values and high standards of Iona College by demonstrating unfailing integrity and professionalism at all times and support the Special Character of the College.

Key Focus

  • Financial and business management 
  • Fully integrated accounting – Debtors, Creditors, General ledger, Assets Register and Stock
  • Monthly and Annual Accounts for two entities
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Payroll – IMS and EdPay
  • IR reporting / filing

The successful applicant will possess:

  • You will have proven experience in a similar role 
  • Excellent analytical, organisation and time management skills and attention to detail
  • A sound understanding of accounting software is essential – Iona College uses Moneyworks Gold
  • A high degree of competence with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel and Access, and with Google Workspace and the ability to grasp the latest technology
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent time management and proven organisational competency
