Iona is home to a small international student population from a variety of countries such as Singapore, Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, Germany and England.

We welcome girls from all over the world into our Iona family. Working alongside New Zealand students in the classroom, our international students forge strong connections and relationships.

Class sizes are small to ensure students are engaged in their learning, and specialised tuition in English is provided as required.

Learning in Hawke’s Bay

Hawke’s Bay has stunning geography, phenomenal climate with long hot summers and cool winters, talented people, a rich history, a vibrant economy, and a friendly and culturally diverse community.

From school, girls can take a short, easy, stroll to shops, cafes and movie theatres in the vibrant village of Havelock North.

Our careers advisor,  Cathy Blake, can assist international students with enquiries and NZ and International university enrolments. Every girl receives the support she requires to make choices about her future, study pathway and career.

Our careers advisor will also assist with applications for tertiary institutions in NZ or abroad.
