About Iona College

Come and share our vision

Iona College is a boarding and day school for girls from Years 7-13. Consistently one of the top achieving schools nationally, Iona has a vision for education which builds on tradition to equip students with the confidence and skills needed for a challenging future.

There is a tangible sense of warmth and belonging at Iona

It is a place where girls can be entirely comfortable; where they feel happy and safe in a warm, family-oriented environment.

Our purpose is to encourage our girls to embrace their education–wholeheartedly; to see them emerge with vision and optimism, and to prepare them to take their places as confident and compassionate young women, driven to make a difference, wherever they choose to live and work.

The openly-stated goal of an Iona education –Empowering Girls for Life–represents an inspirational position, and an aspirational outlook. We want our students to unleash their potential not only during their years at school, but well beyond.

Once on This Island 3-7 April

Ninety minutes of smooth music and movement…

Iona College and Lindisfarne College have teamed up to perform the Olivier Award-winning Once on This Island, written by the Tony Award-winning songwriting team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Seussical, Ragtime).

This highly original and theatrical Caribbean adaptation of the popular fairy tale, The Little Mermaid, garnered eight Tony nominations for its Broadway run, including Best Musical, Book and Score.

Join us for a wonderful evening of theatre combined with a musical score that blends the elegance of the European waltz with the perk and pluck of Carribean rhythms.
